    Eleanor MacDonell

    Surrounded with the beauty of Lake of the Woods, I am constantly inspired to paint landscape; but also love portraiture, which I am currently exploring. I continue to study vocal Music with the Olivia Whiddon Academy of Music. I have competed in the Kenora District Festival of the Arts and was recipient of the Vocal Rose Bowl in 2015 and the Adjudicatorʼs Choice Award in Visual Arts in 2016.

    Visual Arts: Painting, drawing, some three-dimensional work.  
    Music:  Folk harp and traditional Celtic singing.  Also run harp-making workshops about twice a year, to make your own little Celtic lap harp, then teach lessons.  
    Dance: Lead Sacred Circle Dance once a month in Kenora or at other venues by request.

    Jackson Klippenstein

    Jackson Klippenstein is a 14 year old musician and vocalist from Kenora, Ontario. Jackson first picked up the guitar at 8 years old and never looked back. From the sweet Delta sounds of the steel resonator, to the electric guitar of the Chicago Blues. Jackson has discovered a passion for Blues music, and has become a dedicated student of the genre. Some of his influences include Jimmi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Colin James, Big Dave McLean, and The Tedeschi Trucks Band to name a few. Past notable performances include The Winnipeg Fringe Festival, The Trout Forest Music Festival, and he's very excited to be performing for The Music Of Hockey Day In Canada hosted by Ron Maclean in February 2017

    Jesse McIsaac

    Jesse McIsaac is a singer/songwriter who has a strong passion for music.

    He has performed in various venues since he was 7 years old including; school talent shows/venues, church functions, Festival of the Arts, local Jam Nights, Trout Forest Music Festival, Trylight Theatre Productions and more.

    Jesse finds inspiration in many different genres of music including punk, jazz, pop, folk, and rock. Through these inspirations Jesse has molded his sound and writing style, always wanting to try something new and interesting.

    Jesse is currently working on recording his debut EP.

  • Olivia Whiddon

    Olivia Whiddon / The Olivia Whiddon Academy of Music

    Olivia is an Ontario registered music teacher, Canadian registered music teacher and a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing. She graduated from Brandon University in 2007 with a Bachelors in Music and in 2009 from the University of Manitoba with a Post Baccalaureate in Performance. In 2004 she won the Vocal Rose Bowl in the Kenora District Festival of the Arts.

    In 2011 Olivia moved back to Kenora and began teaching voice lessons. She is also a Artist in Residence (AIR) with the Ontario Arts Council (OAC) for the Kenora region. Olivia is busy as both a teacher and professional singer. Most recently, Olivia directed the Kenora Opera Theatre Workshop's production of Mozart's "The Impresario" and performed in the concert "A Night at the Opera" with Toronto baritone, Evan Korbut.

    In 2016 Olivia sang as a guest artist with the Thunder Bay Symphony and appeared as Susanna in “Le Nozze di Figaro” with both the Trylight Theatre Company in Kenora and Opera Northwest in Thunder Bay. In 2015 she studied and sang at “Si Parla, Si Canta” in Urbania, Italy and at Académie Internationale d’ete de Nice in Nice, France. In 2014 she sang the role of Papagena in the Blooming Voce Opera Workshop’s presentation of Mozart’s “The Magic Flute.”

    Olivia has teamed up with the Lake of the Woods Museum as a soloist on three occasions, “The Rat Portage Review”, “50 Years of Collecting: For King and Country Sheet Music of WWI”, and as the lead soloist in “For King and Country – An Evening of WW1 music.”

I am a  jewelry artist, a singer, as  well as millinery work. My millinery work includes fascinators , hats and headwear. I also love to act on stage in Musicals and theatre.
