Our purpose is to foster and promote the spirit of creativity in the City of Kenora and the surrounding area of Lake of the Woods; inspiring unity, joy and opportunity through the arts.
We are guests on the traditional territory of the Anishinaabe, territory covered by Treaty #3, signed in 1873, and the Treaty Adhesion signed by the Métis in 1875.
LOWAC has a proud past and look to the future with a focus on the priorities our members have given us:
- To promote our members and the arts within the Lake of the Woods region
- To expand and provide arts education
- To build an inclusive arts community
We hope you will join us.
ArtsFest is one way we achieve our purpose and vision. Matt Kennedy of Upriver Media Inc. did an amazing job capturing the warmth, creativity, diversity, and fun of this mostly annual festival. Watch it now!
