RC BURNS is a Singer/Songwriter, Bagpiper and Author of Short Stories and Novels. Cutting his teeth on and being inspired by the music of artists like John Prine, Steve Goodman, Stan Rogers and Gordon Lightfoot, RC Burns has written a collection of original songs based on his own real life experiences and observations and is set to release his 1st album “Full Circle” on June 25, 2021.
RC “Cecil” Burns was born in Toronto, grew up in Wasaga Beach, Ontario and now makes his home in Kenora, Ontario. His over 40 year career in Environmental and Energy Management took him from such exotic places as Peru through to Upper Michigan, the Northwest Territories and Labrador working on a variety of environmental and energy conservation projects. Upon retiring, RC reconnected with his high school friend, award-winning Producer JK Gulley and through the magic of the internet and some in-studio sessions, the album “Full Circle” was born.
The 1st single, “Full Circle”, is the title track and the story of how RC and JK started writing songs in high school and have come together over 50 years later to fulfil a lifelong dream. The single was released on May 28, 2021 (RC’s 66th Birthday) and is available on all major streaming services or as a free download from RC’s website rcburnsmusic.com.
