Tactile artisan Aimee’s workshop will go through the process of working with clay to create a coil pot. With the coil method, participants can create a variety of shapes – bowls, pots, vases, cups, etc. without needing any specialized tools. Aimee will model a basic pot shape in this workshop and will provide instruction on how to achieve different forms/shapes using this versatile construction method to give participants a little bit of creative freedom. She will also fire all of the clay pieces at her studio.
All you need is clay which can be purchased for $25 from Moon In June studio (contactless if necessary), 401 6th Ave South, Kenora. Email clay order and etransfer to mooninjunestudio@outlook.com.

You’ll also need an appropriate workspace (the kitchen counter or table will work fine) and the following items:
- Newspaper or paper towel
- Toothpicks, sharp pencil, or a fork!
- A knife (exacto blade or butter knife work fine)
- Small paintbrush/es
- Rag and or sponge
Once the pots are all fired, the workshop participants will be contacted to pick up their finished art pieces! Set pick-up and drop-off dates will be arranged by Aimee and the LOWAC team.
