LOWAC will be staging ARTSFEST 2023, July 15, 2023, on the grounds of the Muse on the grounds of The Muse – the Lake of the Woods Museum and the Douglas Family Art Centre – in downtown Kenora.
This call for artists is open to all artistic disciplines – Visual, literary, and performing arts!
You must be a paid LOWAC member to be considered for one of the available spots – so it’s a great time to renew your $30 membership if you haven’t at lowac.ca/membership! Our current plan is to pay a $100 honorarium to all exhibitors and $300 to performers. This aligns with the funding we have received to date, which is significantly less than in 2022, when we were eligible for a very significant Ontario Trillium Fund grant.
Selection will be juried by the LOWAC Board to ensure a broad spectrum of performers, artists and arts disciplines to fit within the available space and performance schedule. Due to the limits of space, submission of an application does not guarantee a spot. We will have a waitlist for those who aren’t selected if anyone must cancel.
Exhibiting Artist applications are now closed. The performer application deadline has been extended to Friday, May 12, 2023.
1. Cut and paste the Artist and/or Performer Application Questions and Exhibitor or Performer Contract into an email and return to lowaccoordinator@gmail.com.
2. Please be sure to answer all questions.
You may choose to cut, paste and complete your information in a word or text document but we would prefer to receive the information in an email. This simplifies file management for our event coordinator.
