Artist and explorer Jennifer Caie, is a professional, visual artist in Dryden, ON. She paints primarily in acrylic media, inspired by Northwestern Ontario’s Boreal Forest, and the wild landscapes, flora and fauna of Canada.
This region of water, rocks, and trees; the little songbirds and spring wildflowers, all compel to paint. Jennifer spends a portion of each day outdoors gathering inspiration, and then the better half of her day in the studio, painting on canvas or wood, those moments she has experienced. She especially loves the low light hours of sunrise and sunset, creating a golden glow over the land. Fleeting moments too, are precious, as they are preserved on canvas what would otherwise be lost. Jennifer paints from light to dark and back to light, creating depth and contrast in her work.
