LOWAC will be staging ARTSFEST 2022, July 22 and 23, 2022, in Memorial Park on the grounds of the Art Centre and the Museum in downtown Kenora. This event is being run in partnership with The Muse as a lead up to the Gail Konantz Art Education Fund Reception, which will be occurring that evening of July 23 at the Douglas Family Art Centre. This call for artists is open to all artistic disciplines – Visual, literary and performing arts!

You must be a paid LOWAC member to be considered for one of the available spots – so it’s a great time to renew your $25 membership if you haven’t at lowac.ca/membership! An honorarium will be paid to all exhibitors/presenters – $200 for exhibitors and $400 for feature presenters – thanks for funding received from Ontario Trillium Foundation.

You have the opportunity to choose to be an exhibitor/presenter on either July 22 or 23 or both.

Selection will be juried by the LOWAC Board to ensure a broad spectrum of artists and arts disciplines. We will have a waitlist if anyone must cancel.

The deadline to apply has been extended to June 10, 2022.

We are also asking that each artist support our efforts to continue to offer scholarships and bursaries for youth by agreeing to provide a commission to LOWAC for the sale of a pre-selected artwork (that you choose). LOWAC is requesting 50% of the sale, which will be put towards our scholarship fund. If this is not possible, please advise in the registration form below. The selected works will be featured on our website, social media and event promotion.

Feature presenters

We are planning to have a number of feature presenters throughout the day who will perform/present on the pad at the lower level of the museum. A $400 honorarium will be given (in addition to the exhibitor honorarium if applicable). Feature presentations will be livestreamed, reaching an even bigger audience.
